Basic Rights Oregon Statewide Leadership Summit

This all-day event will be an opportunity to attend powerful workshops and connect with hundreds of LGBTQ activists and allies from across the state! As a hub for our statewide LGBTQ community, our 3rd annual summit is the place to be to build your personal skills, make connections, and join the movement for LGBTQ justice across Oregon.

This year's summit will follow the ethos of Love, Resist, Vote. Executive Director Nancy Haque and Labor Commissioner-Elect Val Hoyle will open the day with the an update on the ballot measure attacks we're facing this year, and the political landscape at large. You’ll hear inspiring speeches from leaders Trystan Reese and Eric Ward focusing on the fight for reproductive justice, and against white nationalism. Trystan and Eric both bring personal experiences and decades of activism, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them share with you. The summit will feature a wide range of powerful workshops including Organizing Direct Actions, a speakers training to defeat Measure 105, Political Movement Building, and much more!

BRO is committed to reducing barriers to participation and is willing to we waive registration, pay for gas, and provide lodging the night before. There will be a bus from Portland, and BRO is organizing car pools from across the state as well. RSVP here.
