LWV Measure 101 Forum

The League of Women Voters of Lane County is sponsoring a public forum about Ballot Measure 101, which asks voters to confirm legislative action to assess hospitals, insurance premiums, the Public Benefits Board and other managed care organizations. It is the only issue on the Jan. 23 Special Election ballot. 

The speakers will be former State Representative Val Hoyle and Josh Balloch, Vice President of Government Affairs and Health Policy for AllCare Health. Hoyle will discuss and answer questions about the measure, and Balloch will provide expertise on how the Medicaid system works, what services are included, and how providers are paid. 

The event is free and open to the public. Please make a reservation by noon on Monday, Jan. 8, by calling 541-343-7917 or emailing league@LWVLC.org to make a reservation. A buffet lunch is available for $17. Beverage only is $5. Doors open at 11am; the buffet lunch is served at 11:30 and the program begins at noon.
