UO Professors Unravel Election Results

The League of Women Voters of Lane County invites you to its Third Thursday Luncheon to hear from political science professors Priscilla Southwell and Joe Lowndes, who will offer their expertise and analysis to help us understand the Nov. 6 election results.

Professor Southwell studies campaigns and elections. Her interests in the political process include campaign spending, spending limits, voter alienation, vote by mail, redistricting and electoral competitiveness. Professor Lowndes has studied the rise of the new right and is the author of In Search of Middle America: Right-wing Populism from Nixon to Trump. Both are winners of innovative teaching awards and are frequent contributors to journals, newspapers, professional publications, and electronic media.
