Local author and international diplomacy expert Mel Gurtov will present “Who Are We? America’s Problematic Treatment of Immigrants.” This talk will range from the internment of people—mainly citizens—of Japanese ancestry in the 1940s, to present-day weighing of the definition of “American." Copies of Gurtov’s most recent book, Engaging Adversaries, will be for sale at a signing following the presentation.
