The Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship is sponsoring a conversation on funding for startup businesses. As an early-stage founder, understanding the startup funding landscape and best pathway to raising capital can be a real challenge. Coast to Crest Fund Managing Directors Shane Johnson and Joe Maruschak will share their insights on how they think about fundraising and what they look for when supporting a startup.

The Coast to Crest Fund supports early-stage Lane County startups through capital and mentorship. Their portfolio includes companies in the biotech, consumer product, enterprise and food and beverage space. The Coast to Crest Fund's portfolio includes University of Oregon spinouts and alumni companies.

After the conversation is the annual UO Elevator Competition, where eight UO students will pitch their venture idea for the opportunity to win a $1000 cash pool. Networking to follow.
