Oregon Global Warming Commission Meeting (Portland)

The Oregon Global Warming Commission meets today. The Commission was created by the 2007 Legislature and tracks trends in greenhouse gas emissions, recommends ways to coordinate state and local efforts to reduce emissions, and works to prepare communities for the effects of climate change.

At this meeting, the Commission will receive invited presentations on carbon in the Natural and Working Lands Sector, and it will discuss options for recommendations in the Built Environment and Transportation Sectors. Public comment is expected to begin at 4 p.m. Public comments can also be mailed, emailed, or submitted through the Commission website at www.keeporegoncool.org/contact-us.
