Join the Eugene-Springfield NAACP at the 2020 Freedom Fund Dinner as we seek to live the ideals passed down to us from our elders! Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization dedicated to the precepts championed in the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the US Constitution. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders, and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans. In 1976, the Eugene-Springfield branch became the third NAACP branch in the state of Oregon. The Eugene-Springfield branch is committed to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
