SAfER (Springfield Alliance for Equity and Respect) is encouraging people to attend the virtual Springfield City Council meeting this evening to show concerns about the Springfield Police Contract. On the agenda is authorizing the City Manager to ratify a 3 year contract between the City and the police union.  We are trying to mobilize pressure to forestall the ratification and/or to insist that all policies about policing must be examined whether or not the contract is ratified.
