Today is the first meeting of the Springfield City Council after its summer recess. Councilors will be determining their next steps following the resignation of Mayor Christine Lundberg, in the wake of police violence in Thurston and protester arrests.

Join SAfER, SURJ, Escudo Latino, and City Wide Unión de Activistas for a rally outside City Hall to urge the Council to keep equity as a core value as they make their decisions, to listen to the community, and to hold themselves accountable to the whole community.
