Homeless Persons' Memorial Day

  • East Park Blocks, 8th and Oak Eugene, OR 97401 (map)

Join the Eugene Human Rights Commission and its Poverty and Homelessness Work Group for a candlelight vigil to honor and remember those who died while homeless in the last year. There will be an open mic for those who wish to briefly share their remembrances of friends, loved ones, and neighbors whose homelessness made them vulnerable to unnecessary death.

Please wear masks and practice social distancing. Bring your own sources of light. Tea and food will be available.

If you are housed and wish to make a donation, please bring items that will immediately assist people who are homeless with survival: tents, sleeping bags, warm clothing, rain pants and jackets, and hand warmers.
