Eugene City Club: Adult Mental Health, Trauma and Care

  • First United Methodist Church 1376 Olive Street Eugene, OR, 97401 United States (map)

This is the second of two City Club programs on mental health, and focuses on “Adult Mental Health, Trauma and Care.” Kids’ mental health was the topic of the February 11, 2022 forum.

While some adult mental health metrics have clearly worsened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, others are simply expressions of pre-existing, unresolved health challenges. Today’s speakers will share insights into current adult mental health metrics in Lane County, the emergence of “trauma-informed care” as a practice, and strategies that can help to support greater resilience, recovery, and growth.

Speakers include Bridget Byfield, Community Resilience Project; Dan Isaacson, Suicide Prevention Colaition; and Marlene Zalewski Regnier, UO Department of Psychology.

The program will also livestreamed here. Proof of vaccination and booster required to attend the in-person event.
