You’re invited to Eugene's 3rd annual Juneteenth Celebration!

Come and celebrate the freedom and emancipation of Black people at this FREE family-friendly event for all ages.

This year's theme is: REJOICE

This event will feature black-owned everything!

- Explore the many Black-owned businesses in our community.
- Experience delicious food from Black-owned food vendors.
- Enjoy local Black performing artists of all kinds.
- Partake in educational speeches and moments highlighting the struggles, perseverance, and the underlying issues that have caused a deficit in equality for people of color.

The goal of this event is not only to bring together and empower the Black community, but to educate the people of Eugene as we look forward to a more unified and justice based tomorrow.

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Last year, Oregon House passed a bill acknowledging Juneteenth as a state holiday.

Today, Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. It is a day, a week, and in some areas a month marked with celebrations, guest speakers, picnics, and family gatherings.
