In late 2021, United Way of Lane County launched a new Racial Justice Fund, aimed at moving substantial resources to support communities of color in building power, influence, access, and wealth.

After gathering hopes and ideas from impacted communities for how to use funds ($56,000 to-date), ideas have ranged from building generational wealth, retaining staff of color in schools and social services, creating community spaces for folks of color to gather, and more. We are excited to share what we’ve heard and how funds will be used in the coming year!
