Those Crafty Democrats

  • Address upon RSVP (map)

Bring your knitting, your needlepoint, or just yourself and enjoy an evening of craft demonstrations in the name of democracy. The drinks are on us! Location is in Eugene's Oakway neighborhood (address provided upon sign-up).

Three accomplished crafters will give brief demonstrations of a favorite, easy technique or trick: acclaimed quilter Mary Koons will share tips for making quilted hot pads, basket maker Patricia Montoya Donohue (just returned from North Carolina's John Campbell Folk School) will demonstrate how to make cording from natural materials (and how to use it), and our own Bonnie Henderson will share three ways to upcycle T-shirts.

Your $10 donation (or more, if you're willing) will directly support the reelection campaign of North Carolina State Rep Deb Butler—and help prevent a Republican supermajority in that state (the last Southern state where getting an abortion is still—sometimes—possible).
