The 12th annual free Memorial Day Community BBQ aims to bring diversity to the holiday founded to recognize the sacrifices made to create the possibility of a modern and morally just Nation.

The event is a way to connect with neighbors and friends while paying homage to those who have paved a way for us to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities for growth that we have today. A Free BBQ, served around 2 p.m., will be provided for up to 200 people. There will be music and an open microphone, plus an opportunity to connect with tabling community based organizations.
