This is the last meeting to offer public comment before the Lane County Board of Commissioners prior to the vote on Lane County budget. Oregon Wild and other progressives are urging at least three commissioners to vote to drop out of the AOCC (Association of O&C Counties), which supports the logging industry. Lane County pays $80,000 annually in dues, which has helped fund the lawsuit by the AOCC against the expansion of the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument. You’re invited to speak our about the importance of clean air, clean water, wildlife habitat, and the need for forests and the carbon sequestration they provide to mitigate climate change.
