Better Eugene-Springfield Transportation (BEST), AARP Oregon, and Safe Routes to School invite you to the second workshop in a series on how to push for increased safety on our neighborhood streets. With inspiration and knowledge from the first workshop, it is now time for action: compiling walk audit information and sharing it with decision makers.
Whether you are a parent with concerns about transportation safety near your child’s school, or an older adult wondering how to work towards better lighting conditions on your evening stroll, this event will help you learn how to push for increased safety on your neighborhood streets.
To get the most out of the workshop, in advance:
If you missed Part 1, watch the recording on Facebook. Before the workshop, download the AARP Safe Streets Audit Worksheets. Take a walk on your own or with a friend and try out the worksheets. If you like, share your work (and the name of your neighborhood) with Carmel Snyder at csnyder@aarp.org.
